RCWA’s mission is to clean, restore, and protect the imperiled waterways of the Sacramento Region. RCWA advances its mission by: Removing trash and invasive species from Sacramento’s creeks, rivers, and adjacent riparian habitats through volunteer-led events. Raising public awareness about environmental damage to local waterways. Attracting and engaging volunteers in hands-on stewardship. Advocating for policies and practices that support abatement, restoration, and the long-term ecological health and sustainability of regional waterways.
